Is it actually a working fishing rod?

The concept uses a compact rod and functional reel to cast and retrieve a cat lure. The final retail version will be configured specifically for supervised cat play.

Does the toy use a fishing hook?

No. The cat lure is hook-free. Real hooks and fishing tackle should never be attached to this product.

When can I buy one?

Is it safe to leave out?

No interactive line toy should be left with a cat unsupervised. Store the rod and lure away after play and inspect every component before the next session.
